If you login every day to claim your daily reward (usually key frag), you progress faster, but everyone unlocked honor 4 at the same time. It's april so we can assume that you can get 2 checkpoints each month counting from the beginning of season. Honor is not a reward system, the rewards aren't meant to be good. But when the reward is not good, there is no punishment for being toxic. Ive played around 100 and I get honored most games. I played around 40 games since the honor update and got it yesterday. I get about 1 honor per game. I play at least 5 games a day and haven't got Honor 3 yet, but that's probably because most of my honors are from a premade. Its just a way of Riot making you spend money on keys rather than wining key fragments. They want you to have free loot but not exactly so free that you dont have to put in hundreds of hours just to get back to honor 1 and get fragments again.
